Course Description "The Marco Sfogli Masterclass"

This is a comprehensive masterclass from the legendary Italian guitarist Marco Sfogli, who for the first time has gathered all elements of his extensive guitar technique into a single course. The course is taught by Marco Sfogli from Italy. It is designed for intermediate level players and belongs to the Rock and Melodic Rock genres. The course price is £44.99, and lessons are conducted in standard tuning. Marco lifts the veil on his personal training system, demonstrates his approach to techniques such as legato, alternate picking, and tapping, and most importantly, teaches how to put melody at the forefront and serve the song.

The philosophy of the course is based on the principle that technique is merely a means to express your ideas in the most captivating way possible. After all, what matters is the music. This course is ideal for guitarists who want to expand their melodic palette, add colorful lines and phrasing to their playing, and gain a new structure for their practice sessions.

The course program begins with the Warm-Up section, which features Marco's personal exercises for preparing both hands for playing — this is a crucial part of his approach to the guitar. Next comes the Legato section, including basic forms and patterns, slides and endurance exercises, triplets and string skipping.

The Alternate Picking section covers horizontal forms, two-string sequences, cross-picking, melodic Sus2 forms, as well as blending arpeggios and scales. The Tapping section includes major 7, major 6, and major 9 arpeggios, minor 7 forms, tapping scales, and combining techniques.

The Rhythm section focuses on right-hand technique, strumming in odd time signatures, shifting accents, and changing subdivisions. The Melody section answers the question of how to write melodies, explores Sus-tones and intervals, and includes practice with backing tracks. The Tone section reveals Marco's philosophy of sound, explains how to dial in the perfect tone, and examines two different sounds and their moods. The program concludes with the Solos section, featuring 6 full solos with detailed breakdowns, analysis of arrangement, song structure, chord choices, and backing tracks for independent practice.

The course includes video materials: 10 lessons, 21 exercises, and 6 solos. Audio materials include 21 exercises, 6 solos, and 6 backing tracks. Additionally, interactive tabs and notation, a PDF guide, Guitar Pro files, and an online Study Guide are provided.

Key advantages of the course: melody first — technique serves the music, not the other way around; a personal practice system — learn to use your time effectively; variety of techniques — from legato to tapping and alternate picking; practical application — 6 full solos to work through; interactive tabs — the standard for all JTC Guitar courses.

This course is designed for intermediate guitarists looking to expand their melodic vocabulary; musicians stuck in a creative rut; those who want to learn how to put melody at the forefront; guitarists seeking a new structure for their practice sessions; and fans of melodic rock and progressive music.
