What's new
Scene Rebalance (Advanced only) is a new post-production module that lets you independently adjust dialogue, music, and sound effects levels in a finished mix, saving time when stem files aren't available. Stems View (Standard and Advanced) provides visual separation of audio into stems via Scene Rebalance, Music Rebalance, or Dialogue Isolate, allowing you to apply any RX tool to individual components—like removing lavalier noise only from dialogue or hum only from bass—and then export the result as separate stems or a single file.

De-bleed has been redesigned (Standard and Advanced) with an improved machine-learning algorithm for removing audio bleed, such as headphone leakage into a vocal mic or crosstalk between instruments. It no longer requires a reference track and works in real time. Breath Control has also been refined (Standard and Advanced), offering more precise detection and removal of breaths in vocals and speech thanks to an updated ML model, reducing the need for manual volume automation.

Music Rebalance (Standard and Advanced) now delivers cleaner separation of vocals, bass, drums, and other instruments using upgraded neural networks, available both offline and as a real-time plugin for quick mix adjustments. Dialogue Isolate (Standard and Advanced) features enhanced neural networks for more accurate speech extraction against background noise and reverb, working both offline and in real time. Trim Silence is a new module (Standard and Advanced) that automatically detects and removes silent sections from audio files, ideal for editing interviews, podcasts, and audiobooks.

Interface and workflow improvements include a larger spectrogram for more precise selection and editing, module search by name to avoid digging through menus, instant access to stem separation directly from the main editor, a resizable history panel, and a refreshed modern interface with updated tabs and smoother navigation.

Processing quality has been elevated across key modules—Music Rebalance, Dialogue Isolate, and Breath Control—all powered by new neural networks that deliver cleaner results with fewer artifacts compared to RX 11.

Regarding editions: Elements (£95) offers a basic toolkit for quick fixes; Standard (£389) includes the professional suite with most updated modules; Advanced (£1,299) provides the full collection of 50+ tools, including the exclusive Scene Rebalance module.

RX 12 focuses on speed, precision, and intelligent processing, making audio repair and editing more intuitive and efficient for both music producers and post-production professionals.
