The Techno Fundamentals course is an intensive workshop on the basics of creating techno music in Ableton Live, led by a world-renowned Ableton Certified Trainer. This course will immerse you in the foundational elements of the genre, covering everything from crafting punchy kicks and bass to hypnotic melodies and complex transitions. The workshop covers the full cycle of creating a techno track, with special attention paid to sound design, sequencing, automation, and specialized tools that make techno truly groove.

During the learning process, you will master drum programming and percussion work on drum machines, laying a solid foundation for the techno groove. You will learn the secrets of creating a powerful kick and the famous rumbling "rumble" using complex chains of delay, reverb, distortion, coloring, filtering, and sidechaining. Separate attention is given to creating and using classic 303 acid basslines, as well as their automation and arrangement. You will also learn techno chord sequencing and how to write melodies in the melodic techno style using a specific variation of the minor pentatonic scale. In addition, the course thoroughly breaks down techniques for creating buildups to build atmosphere and seamless transitions using return tracks.

Along with the course, you will receive over ten custom-made production and live performance tools based on Max for Live and Ableton Racks, which will significantly speed up your workflow. These include the custom Kick Selector rack with a collection of 101 perfect techno kicks, as well as the Rumble Maker audio effect for generating a powerful bass rumble.
